Juneteenth 2020

Hey besties!! Let's get into this NEW look!! Yesssss a new look, worn on June 19, 2020.

On Juneteenth this year, my friends and I decided to wear African wax print to the Juneteenth Picnic at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. This was such a last minute idea, and of course we all were concerned about going due to COVID-19. Long story short, we went and had a ball!! I had no idea what I wanted to wear, however, I knew I wanted to mix my Ankara with an Urban twist. I wanted to wear sneakers for comfort, therefore, I figured let me go urban with it. Plus, my air forces were just screaming to be worn. Air Force 1s are making a come back, as many of you already know. My sneakers were purchased at Snipes Sneaker Store for $80.00.

Okay back to the fit....Since I was pressed for time, I decided to hop on Amazon to find an Ankara skirt or pants. I came across this beautiful printed skirt for only $22.88, and it was eligible for Amazon Prime!! Okaaaayyy!! The description for this skirt is " Women African Print Skirt Ankara Skirts Dashiki Clothing." Just type this is in the search engine on Amazon and it should pop up.  I am wearing a size medium. While I was on Amazon I decided to look for earrings. I came across these lovely bamboo earrings for only $6.99, Amazon Prime!! I scored twice y'all!!

I then thought to myself, this skirt is super busy, I need a plain top to balance this look out. I hit up my friend, Jenny last minute and asked her to customize a tee shirt for me. Before I did that, I of course hit up google for quotes. I saw "Brown Skin Girl" on a tee shirt and instantly loved it!! I felt a white top with black writing would be perfect, especially with the all white air forces!! My friend quickly slayed  this "Brown Skin Girl" tee shirt which is a size medium in ladies. Check out my friend @ms_desir on IG for all your customizing needs!! The shirt is $15.00. My purple aviator sunglasses were purchased at Forever 21 last summer (2019) for $7.80. Lastly, my handmade straw crossbody bag was purchased last June (2019) at a shopping center in Cartagena, Colombia. The bag cost $55 US dollars. The entire look was purchased in June 2020, except the bag and sunglasses of course. Check out the final look below. Tell me what you think. Thank you for all the love and support everyone๐Ÿ’š

Eiffel for Zara

Let's get into this look!! Isn't it just adorable and brilliant?! When I thoroughly picked out all my fits for Paris, this one was my favorite!! I was so indecisive about what to wear to the Eiffel Tower. I knew that I wanted to wear a beret of course, because who goes to Paris and not pack a beret? Pictured is a fun, fashionable, and flirty day look. Okay, let's start from the beret!! This black wool material beret is from Amazon! The brand is Jeff & Aimy, only $13.99!!!! The quality is amazing. The best part was the adjustable string in the back. Yessss!!! I was so worried about the hat being too tight and causing a dent in my weave lol. Next, we have this black "Trust the flow" cotton tee-shirt blouse (size medium) with mesh floral sleeves aaaaaahhhhhh!!! I love love love this shirt! I found it for a whopping $20.00 on the clearance rack at Zara! Zara is one of my favorite stores. When I found this top I automatically knew it was coming to Paris with me...

Prancing in Paris

In this photo, I was in Paris, France. This photo was taken on February 17, 2020. I purchased this Bone colored faux leather zip front shirtdress from NY & CO on clearance for $40.00, originally $99.95! This dress was purchased in December of 2019 from my local mall. The brand is Gabrielle Union. I love her clothing line!  My snakeskin open toe shoes are from Dr. Jay's Ladies for only $6.99 on clearance. Yup, you're reading that correctly, 7 bucks sis!! It was the last pair, my size!! Of course it was meant for me. It was just my luck, the store was going out of business. I purchased them in February of 2020. This snakeskin purse is from a store in my local mall called Track 23. It was $20.00, and matched perfectly with my shoes. Totally wasn't planned.... The most ironic thing, I purchased the shoes before the purse. I saw the purse months prior to purchasing the shoe. I decided not to get the purse, because I had nothing to match it. Of course, I went home an...

Let's get into this look: A couple weeks ago, I was looking for the perfect nude outfit to attend my friend's surprise birthday party. The the dress code was nude. I hopped on the internet to shop as I usually do and I knew I wanted to wear a blazer! I am obsessed with blazers! I found this amazing Oatmilk Latte color faux leather blazer from Macy's backstage by INC for only $45.93. I couldn't believe it was by INC. Im like, okay INC lol they came a long way. It came with matching bermuda faux leather pants for $24.93, however, I didn't like the way the set looked together. If you do not know about Macy's backstage, you haven't lived life yet, lol. Macy...
