About Me

Hi, my name is Madeline. Most people call me Maddie. I am 32 years of age, and I am a Gemini. Yup, a Gemini lol. My favorite color is yellow. I currently reside in New Jersey. I was born and raised in Asbury Park, NJ. I am of Haitian decent, and speak fluent Creole. I graduated undergrad from Kean University in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology. In 2013, I graduated from Monmouth University with a Master's degree in Social Work. I am a Social Worker, working with children and families. I love being a Social Worker! My favorite thing to do is travel. I literally want to see the world.

At an early age of 8 years old, I had an interest in fashion. Back then, my mother was the most stylish woman in my eyes. I admired her style and would play in her clothing. Throughout my childhood, teenage years, and adulthood my passion for fashion grew, and I knew I had an eye for it. Today, I take pride when I get dressed because I genuinely enjoy shopping and putting pieces together. I just know it's my talent and calling. Most importantly, I am a bargain shopper! Mostly every piece of clothing, shoe, or accessory I own has been purchased on sale or clearance. It's literally a thrill for me!! Welcome to my Affordable Fashion Blog, and make sure to comment. Thank you so much for the support!

Bright Lights, City Nights

Hey besties, I am back with a new look!! This will be a shorter and straight to the point blog post lol. Below, I am wearing an off white pair of paperbag high waist jeans from Zara, purchased 2 weeks ago for $12.99!! Yup, clearance rack for the win AGAIN! This sleeveless black basic but essential bodysuit is from Zara as well. It was purchased last week for only $19.90! I purchased this bodysuit in nude and sky blue as well (I know I know maybe I didn't need all 3) lol but I couldn't leave them. They're soooooo essential, period. If you aren't already aware Zara has marked down lots of their merchandise & I am just grateful, because I absolutely love Zara!! Lastly, my black leather backless pointed mule chunky heels are from Aldo, a birthday gift from my friend last summer. She paid $60.00 for them, on sale. She's a gem! Hope you guys enjoyed reading. Eiffel for Zara

Let's get into this look!! Isn't it just adorable and brilliant?! When I thoroughly picked out all my fits for Paris, this one was my favorite!! I was so indecisive about what to wear to the Eiffel Tower. I knew that I wanted to wear a beret of course, because who goes to Paris and not pack a beret? Pictured is a fun, fashionable, and flirty day look. Okay, let's start from the beret!! This black wool material beret is from Amazon! The brand is Jeff & Aimy, only $13.99!!!! The quality is amazing. The best part was the adjustable string in the back. Yessss!!! I was so worried about the hat being too tight and causing a dent in my weave lol. Next, we have this black "Trust the flow" cotton tee-shirt blouse (size medium) with mesh floral sleeves aaaaaahhhhhh!!! I love love love this shirt! I found it for a whopping $20.00 on the clearance rack at Zara! Zara is one of my favorite stores. When I found this top I automatically knew it was coming to Paris with me...

Prancing in Paris

In this photo, I was in Paris, France. This photo was taken on February 17, 2020. I purchased this Bone colored faux leather zip front shirtdress from NY & CO on clearance for $40.00, originally $99.95! This dress was purchased in December of 2019 from my local mall. The brand is Gabrielle Union. I love her clothing line!  My snakeskin open toe shoes are from Dr. Jay's Ladies for only $6.99 on clearance. Yup, you're reading that correctly, 7 bucks sis!! It was the last pair, my size!! Of course it was meant for me. It was just my luck, the store was going out of business. I purchased them in February of 2020. This snakeskin purse is from a store in my local mall called Track 23. It was $20.00, and matched perfectly with my shoes. Totally wasn't planned.... The most ironic thing, I purchased the shoes before the purse. I saw the purse months prior to purchasing the shoe. I decided not to get the purse, because I had nothing to match it. Of course, I went home an...
